Ocean City
What a fun time we had in Ocean City with the Cohens and Prewitts. Patrick woke up every morning asking to see the "new friends" and generally had a great time following the kids around the house and seeing what they were up to. We had fun on the beach and in the pool, watching the wild ponies on Assateague, watching Patrick ride his first ride--in a little fire truck--alone, riding the ferris wheel and playing mini-golf for the first time together (mom could not watch the ferris wheel ride). Parick's new favorite thing to do is winning "prizes" playing skeeball and basketball. On Thursday we stopped at the arcade and Patrick won two dinosaurs, which he fell asleep clutching in the back seat all the way home.
Sophie Turns One!
We welcomed cousin Sophie to the one club on June 20th with Uncle Derek's awesome barbeque and delicious cake. She looked adorable in her little flag dress and is getting very steady on her feet. Patrick was thrilled to discover that Sophie's birthday gifts included a train table. We will definitely be making more trips to "Sophie's house" in the near future!
Father's Day
Father's Day came a week early this year--we took a family bike ride on the national mall. There was so much to see--soccer games, kites, a million people, and of course the monuments. Patrick had a great time riding his first carousel, eating the cookies and brownies at our picnic, and throwing his football up into a tree.

Cousins
Patrick's been having some fun with his two awesome cousins these past two weekends. On May 31, Cousin Sophie was baptized. Later that day Sophie came over for dinner and fun times in the bath and crawling around the kitchen floor. This past weekend we went to Knoxville to meet Cousin Colton. We had a great time at the aquarium, pool, and meeting "new friends"—Colton's other cousins—and running races with them. Patrick was really sweet with baby Colton--he gave him kisses on the head and even brought him a toy when he was crying. Hopefully this has been good practice for being a big brother...to a little sister!!!!
