A rainy afternoon was the perfect backdrop for some more egg coloring with Cousin Colton in Roanoke last Friday. Madeline couldn't resist trying to take a sample bite.
The cousins got to find their eggs last Sunday (Palm Sunday) with Grammy and Grandaddy Krause. Of course, any foray into our back yard is going to turn up a few balls. Madeline proudly displayed a yellow one in her Easter basket.
Patrick, Madeline, and Sophie enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon dyeing Easter Eggs while Grammy and Grandaddy were in town. Madeline immediately tried cracking her egg on the side of her bowl—she likes hers scrambled, thank you very much. After the eggs-travaganza, Sophie treated us to a dance display and the usual round of boisterous cousin antics that accompany any Thomas-Fetsch get-together.
Madeline is seldom without her "nack" cup, which she picks up shortly after breakfast and carries around throughout the day and sometimes even into the bathtub. The other day found her making her own artisinal snack blend of snap pea crisps and pretzel and saltine goldfish, which Uncle Derek ate with only mild reservations about the mixing process.
We're missing the spring game in Charlottesville today, but last weekend we got to attend a UVA practice session at Episcopal High School. Patrick enjoyed transforming into Batman for the day, Madeline enjoyed eating 2 hotdogs, and both kids enjoyed helping daddy make pancakes the next morning.
