Beer Run

Patrick and Madeline are endlessly creative about playing. We're building tons of forts, and a fantastic train that involves every pillow in Patrick and Madeline's room and two chairs. This weekend Patrick asked me for some "rope" so he could rig up our wheeled cooler to Madeline's Barbie 4-Wheeler and happily tooled around the patio, delivering "beer."

Father's Day

We spent a fun Father's Day weekend celebrating Sophie's birthday, having a nice brunch with Grandaddy, and sending Patrick and Donald to their first ever Father/Son Nationals Game. Patrick was thrilled, and came home with a mini cooler full of Nationals kids' club stuff, including a cool mini baseball bat. Earlier this week Patrick was so excited to give Donald his Father's Day birdhouse at the Abra party he could hardly contain himself. He woke up early several mornings to come down and talk to me about it, promising each time,"I'm not going to spoil the surprise." His dictated card says it all: "I love my Daddy because he plays with me...and he takes me to McDonald's."  Happy Father's Day to all the
